AAB Design is located in Mountain View, California and owned by Alison Barnsley. I offer design, organization, and event planning services in San Mateo and Santa Clara counties, as well as the greater San Francisco Bay Area.
I have a bachelors degree in art from Yale University and a masters degree in industrial design from San Jose State University. In previous phases, I’ve worked in nonprofit development, communications, marketing, and industrial design. I’ve owned my own business since 1997, first doing graphic design & marketing, then product design & development, before refocusing on design, organization & events.
In all my endeavors, I am interested in the intersection of aesthetics and function. Although the specific tasks differ, I don’t see a big difference between organizing a small closet, arranging an inviting living room, or throwing a great party. In each case, you have to identify the goal, figure out your resources and constraints, and stay on top of the details while keeping the big picture in mind.
